But I have always loved jewelry.

(This is in the title role of Manon. That was one of my favorite scenes, because I got to wear all that pretty jewelry!)

I started to dance when I was three and a half. When I was four years old, my grandfather gave me a beautiful blue enamel pin of a butterfly, and thus began my lifelong love affair with jewelry. I still cherish that pin. I think if I had not grown up to be a ballerina and a skater, I might have become a bench jeweler. I am very grateful to have the chance to do this, and to share my love of jewelry with other people.
